Pay for scale, never for the truth

Every tier returns the exact same cited, bitemporal data and the exact same provenance. Tiers differ only in how much you can call and which premium delivery surfaces you unlock — never in the numbers you get back.

How billing works. A flat monthly price includes a generous request quota; usage beyond it is metered per 10,000 requests. Reads are counted per principal per day and summed to your monthly allowance — anonymous traffic is rate-limited but never billed.

The data and citations are identical across all three — the difference is scale and delivery surfaces.

Pricing questions

Do all tiers really get the same data?

Yes. Tiers are limits-only — Free, Pro and Enterprise return byte-identical data, provenance and citations. You pay for scale and premium delivery surfaces, never for 'better' numbers.

How is usage metered?

Per-principal daily request counts, summed to your monthly allowance. Anonymous traffic is rate-limited but never billed; you see your tier and remaining quota in the X-Veracle-Tier and X-RateLimit-* response headers.

What happens when I hit the rate limit?

You get a 429 with X-RateLimit-* headers, and throughput resets each minute. Add an API key or move up a tier to raise the ceiling.

What's the Ask Veracle budget?

Because the grounded LLM calls a paid model, each principal has a daily USD budget. Once it's spent, Ask returns a budget error until the next UTC day — every other endpoint keeps working.

Is the data real?

During preview the datasets are representative synthetic fixtures (with one real dataset: DEFRA carbon factors). The plumbing — citations, lineage, the bitemporal store, reconciliation — is fully real, and production data sources are rolling out.

How do I upgrade?

Start anonymous, add a free API key in the playground, then move to Pro with OAuth. Enterprise is a short conversation about SLA, residency and multi-tenancy.

Beta — indicative pricing during the preview; data is representative synthetic fixtures (DEFRA carbon is real). Prices may change before general availability.
